San Antonio Bike Share is the non profit that launched San Antonio Bcycle is 2011 as the first bike share in the state of Texas.

In 2018, San Antonio acquired a title sponsor, Southwest General Hospital, A Steward Family Hospital, changing the name to SWell Cycle.

In January 2020, the partnership with Southwest General Hospital ended and the program rebranded back to San Antonio Bike Share operating the BCycle stations and bikes. With hundreds of self-serve bikes and more than 60 stations, San Antonio Bike Share offers access to the City on your schedule.
